Come learn the ancient art of fermentation. The workshop will begin with a talk on the history of fermented beverages and the two main types of fermented foods. Participants will get the chance to taste homemade fermented goods throughout the workshop and leave with their very own ginger bug and naturally carbonated soda.

Artist Bio: 

Lilah is a multimedia artist working and living on occupied Chumash and Tongva lands (Los Angeles). Lilah's practice investigates ancient transformative processes like fermentation,  clay foraging, and paint making. Their life is deeply inspired by community organizing and teaching. Their recent work investigates the fluidity they witness and experience in ecology and gender.
