celebrate with us

Looking for something more meaningful than another dinner reservation? Host your next gathering at house mouse, where your group can actually make something together. We've hosted birthdays, team building events, bachelorette parties, creative date nights, and celebrations we didn't even know existed until someone asked.

Our space holds up to 16 people comfortably, and we'll guide your group through a hands-on workshop in ceramics, watercolor, fiber arts, or whatever medium feels right for your occasion.

what we offer

  • Our most popular option - Everyone makes their own piece using hand-building techniques like pinch, coil, and slab construction. No intimidating pottery wheels, just hands, clay, and creativity.

    What your group will make:

    • Mugs, bowls, or cups

    • Planters or vases

    • Small sculptural objects

    • Decorative pieces like trinket dishes or wall hangings

    How it works:
We'll teach basic techniques, help everyone shape their pieces, and guide the group through decorating with underglazes, carving, or texture. Pieces get bisque fired, glazed (we handle this), and final fired in our kiln. Ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Perfect for: Birthdays, team building, friend gatherings, bachelorette parties, creative date nights, family events

Session length: 2-3 hours depending on project complexity

  • Relaxed and social - A casual painting session where the focus is on enjoying the process, not perfection. BYOB friendly, and everyone takes home their finished artwork the same day.

    What your group will create:

    • Loose, expressive watercolor paintings

    • Botanical studies or simple landscapes

    • Abstract color explorations

    • Guided step-by-step paintings (if preferred)

    How it works:
We provide all painting supplies—watercolors, brushes, paper—and guide the group through techniques and composition. Can be totally free-form or follow a theme. No experience needed, and the vibe is more "creative hang" than "serious art class."

Perfect for: Casual gatherings, groups who want something low-pressure, anyone intimidated by "real" art-making, afternoon or evening socials

    Session length: 2 hours

  • Thoughtful and meditative - Create hand-bound journals or sketchbooks using Japanese stab binding. A quieter, more focused activity that results in a beautiful, functional keepsake.

    What your group will make:

    • Hand-bound journal or sketchbook

    • Decorated covers using cyanotype, watercolor, or drawing

    • Choice of ribbon or yarn binding

    How it works:
We start with creating covers (printing or painting), then move into the binding process while covers dry. The pace is slower and more contemplative—good for groups that want something meaningful and calming.

Perfect for: Book clubs, writing groups, smaller intimate gatherings, groups seeking a mindful activity

    Session length: 2.5-3 hours
