Clay Cafe - June
bring an old friend, make a new one
Join us for a craft à la carte at Clay Cafe! Choose from handbuilding, glazing, painting, and more — we’re so excited to offer a craft cafe to accommodate more people, more art, and more community building. Rather than a place where you only go to attend workshops, we want house mouse to be a place for the community to gather, make connections, and create all at the same time, and on a more regular basis.
At Clay Cafe, you will be able to choose from our menu of activity offerings:
Handbuilding — $18, includes 1 lb of clay* + loosely guided instruction, stay as long as you like
Drop-in wheel — $60, includes 2 hours on the wheel, 3 lbs of clay (*not a lesson, prior experience required. treat this as a practice session as we will not be able to hold your pieces for trimming or glazing)
*Additional clay available for purchase — $5/lb
Glaze session — Available for you to glaze pieces previously made during Handbuilding Days/Clay Cafe $0.20/cubic inch, $0.30/cubic inch for oversized pieces larger than 6” on any side
Drawing/painting — $12, includes paper and the medium of your choice (watercolor, acrylic, brushes, charcoal, pastels, pencils)
Cyanotype — $12, includes paper, cyanotype solution, and some objects for printing. Feel free to bring your own objects to print with, or forage some from the plants in the surrounding area :)
Refreshments will also be available.
Please select the craft activity and date you would like to participate in, and submit your preferred name and contact phone number.
Purchasing in advance highly encouraged, limited walk-in spots available.
Note: Glazing Session fees will be calculated day-of based on the volume in cubic inches of your piece(s).
