Make a felt Halloween ornament in this hand-sewing workshop! Choose a pumpkin or a black cat, both inspired by 1970s DIY craft kits, and sew it together using a few fundamental hand stitches. You’ll also design its expression and decorate it however you like, then take it home to hang in your home, just in time for spooky season!

All materials and tools are included. No sewing experience is needed, and Michelle will teach the stitches you need.

Block print a pair of tea towels to use at home! Using our selection of hand-carved linoleum stamps, you’ll learn the basics of printmaking to create functional, one-of-a-kind textiles while exploring composition, pattern, and color.

Participants will leave with two 100% cotton towels, along with care instructions. Once the ink fully dries and cures, the towels can be machine washed and dried.

Learn how to make really good sourdough pizza with Melissa of Pizza Daughter! We’ll get hands-on with the basics of pizza making - stretching dough, topping your pie, working with a pizza oven, and learning what makes sourdough pizza different.

Melissa, a third generation pizza chef, will walk us through her process and share tips for making better pizza at home, then everyone will get a chance to stretch, top, bake, and - most importantly - eat some pizza.

In this two-part workshop, participants will build a functional frame loom entirely from clay before returning in part two to learn the fundamentals of tapestry weaving on the loom they’ve created.

Session One: Building the Loom
Design and construct a ceramic frame loom from clay, considering both form and function as you create a reusable weaving tool. We’ll discuss how looms have historically been handmade and how the tools we use shape the textiles we create. Participants will choose a glaze color, and your looms will be fired between sessions.

Session Two: Learning to Weave
Using your completed looms, participants will learn foundational tapestry weaving techniques, including plain weave, color changes, creating texture, and finishing methods. Working with a variety of reclaimed yarns and fibers, each participant will begin a woven textile while gaining the skills and confidence to continue weaving long after the workshop concludes.

No prior weaving or ceramics experience is necessary.

Explore the intersection of sculpture and function in this ceramic jewelry holder workshop. Using handbuilding techniques, participants will create a unique ceramic sculpture that doubles as an organizer for your jewelry, clips, charms, and other accessories. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to select a glaze color and pieces will be glazed and fired for pickup at a later date.
