Learn the basics of cyanotype while preserving a picture of your pet on a tote bag

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that uses sunlight to transfer an image onto a printing medium. You'll learn the process of cyanotype printing, and then make a custom print of your pet's photo on a canvas tote. We’ll have paper available for printing as well.

Junk journaling is a type of craft that has no rules. It takes paper scraps, memorabilia, packaging, pamphlets, cards, and anything else you feel the urge to save. These little scraps of memories curate a page to forever have a tangible souvenir. In this Craft Club event, we will make a “Dopamine Junk Journal Menu” and a “Fill your Jar” page.

Dopamine, also known as the “pleasure chemical,” is released into the body when you finish something that feels rewarding. The satisfaction that comes with creating a junk journal page, gives just the right dose.

Included with your ticket will be a “Dopamine Menu” and a handy dandy Mason Jar template for you to “Fill your Jar.” These templates are meant to be used as a guide for you to create your own list of activities/items that give you a plentiful serving of dopamine, of course adding your favorite stickers is a satisfying bonus.

Craft Club LA is a community based group that meets once a month to make something whimsical together. Whether you are a first time crafter or a skilled artist, Craft Club LA welcomes everyone. As DIY culture, analog hobbies, and journaling continue to make a comeback, our goal is to provide a creative space for people to connect and unwind… plus and maybe make some new friends!

Join us for a free fiber craft circle loosely guided by Isabelle Caldwell

Bring your own knitting, crochet, or mending projects! Isabelle will be available to help with troubleshooting or brainstorming ideas, and some materials will be available to use.

This is a recurring, free community craft night held on bi-weekly and sometimes monthly basis.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll work with a collection of pre-cut glass shapes to build your own free-form image or abstract composition — no experience necessary, just an open mind and a sense of play. Inessa will guide you through each step of the process, from selecting and arranging your pieces to soldering them together into a finished work. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind stained glass piece that's entirely your own, ready to hang in a window and catch the light for years to come.

Learn how to dip taper candles

Join us for a relaxing, beginner friendly candle making workshop where you’ll learn how to hand dip beeswax taper candles. Using only natural materials and a traditional dipping technique, we’ll go over the process from start to finish and you’ll be able to take home a set of taper candles you’ve dipped yourself. Customizable to candle holders you have at home; you’ll have the option to make candles of different shapes and sizes, and explore experimental candle forms as well.

In this month’s snailspace we will be exploring different types of anthotypes and sipping on tea made from the same ingredients.

Anthotype is an alternative photography process that utilizes photosensitive plant pigments to create soft and dreamy monochromatic images.

In this workshop you'll learn how to make anthotypes using blueberries, beets, and turmeric. We’ll also have special tea blends made with these same ingredients.

Participants will leave with a booklet on anthotypes and the tea recipes as well.
